BREATHWORK
Breathing is the most accessible tool we have for health, regulation, and resilience — yet for many people, it’s also one of the most dysfunctional.
At Ice Warrior, breathwork is not about chasing altered states or pushing intensity. It’s about restoring the way your body was designed to breathe, so you can sleep better, think more clearly, feel calmer, and perform with greater ease.
Angela’s work blends functional breathing, nervous system regulation, and embodied awareness — helping individuals and groups create real, sustainable change from the inside out.
Angela Bentley – Your Breathwork Guide
Angela Bentley is a certified Oxygen Advantage® Instructor and Advanced Wim Hof Method Instructor, specialising in functional breathing, nervous system regulation, and resilience-led performance.
Her journey into breathwork grew from a deep curiosity about human potential, recovery, and wellbeing — and from her own lived experience of using the breath to navigate stress, pressure, and change.
Through Oxygen Advantage training, Angela deepened her understanding of breathing physiology, allowing her to complement more activating breathwork with calm, restorative, science-led practices.
Angela believes there is a time and place for different types of breathwork. Her role is to help you find the right balance for your nervous system, lifestyle, and goals — always prioritising safety, sustainability, and long-term wellbeing.
She works with clients across the UK and online, supporting individuals, leaders, teams, and athletes with a grounded, human-first approach.
Why Functional Breathing Matters
Research suggests that over 80% of people breathe dysfunctionally often without realising it.
Common patterns include:
• breathing through the mouth instead of the nose
• breathing too fast or too deeply
• holding tension in the chest and upper body
• irregular breathing during sleep
Over time, these patterns can contribute to:
• anxiety and chronic stress
• poor sleep and fatigue
• reduced concentration and focus
• breathlessness and exercise intolerance
• slower recovery and burnout
Functional breathing works with the body’s physiology to restore balance helping your nervous system shift out of constant “fight or flight” and into a state where healing, recovery, and performance can occur.
What Is Oxygen Advantage®?
Oxygen Advantage® is a science-based breathing method focused on how you breathe every minute of the day — not just during a session.
It emphasises:
• nasal breathing
• light, slow, efficient breathing
• improved tolerance to carbon dioxide
• better oxygen delivery to tissues
Unlike more intense breathwork styles, Oxygen Advantage is subtle, practical, and deeply effective. It’s particularly powerful for people dealing with stress, anxiety, sleep disruption, fatigue, or those looking to enhance athletic performance and recovery.
Angela uses Oxygen Advantage alongside other breathwork tools to support everyday breathing habits, not just what happens on the mat.
Who This Work Supports
Angela works with individuals and groups who are experiencing:
• anxiety, overwhelm, or chronic stress
• nervous system dysregulation
• poor or broken sleep
• fatigue or burnout
• breathlessness or low exercise tolerance
• a desire to improve sports performance and recovery
She also delivers functional breathing training within leadership and workplace wellbeing, believing that breathing may be one of the most underused — yet impactful — tools available for modern teams.
What clients say:
“I didn’t realise how much my breathing was contributing to my anxiety. Learning how to slow it down has been life-changing.”
“This isn’t breathwork that overwhelms you. It’s gentle, practical, and actually fits into real life.”
“As an athlete, my recovery and performance have noticeably improved. I feel more efficient and less stressed under pressure.”
1:1 Personalised Breathwork Sessions
Reconnect With Your Natural Breath
Breathing is not one-size-fits-all.
Your breath reflects how your nervous system is responding to life — stress, rest, pressure, recovery, and everything in between. In 1:1 sessions, we slow things down and work with your body, your nervous system, and your goals.
This work is calm, grounded, and deeply personalised.
What We’ll Explore Together
Each session is shaped around you and may include:
• Understanding how your nervous system is responding — and what your breath is currently doing
• Identifying breathing patterns contributing to stress, tension, fatigue, anxiety, or overwhelm
• Gentle, practical breathing techniques adapted specifically to you
• Tools to support calm, focus, recovery, performance, or sleep
• Space to reflect, ask questions, and build confidence in self-regulation
Sessions are never about forcing or pushing the breath.
The focus is on safety, awareness, and sustainable change.
